Why can’t I open any websites?

  • Try to clear your browser cache and cookies, and then restoring your browser settings to default
  • Check if your browser is using any proxy server. If there are any proxy server settings being used, then disable them and use automatic settings. This can be checked under the Tools > LAN Settings > Proxy Server option of your web browser
  • For further troubleshooting, you can open your command prompt and try to ping the domain name. For example, ping google.com.au. If you are receiving replies from the ping, then it is recommended to try a different browser
  • If you do not receive any ping replies or get a request timed out notice, then it is a good idea to check if there are any restrictions on the firewall
