The Internet light on my modem is off, and also indicates that the modem is not connected, but I have an ADSL signal. Why am I unable to connect?

This is most like caused by your modem not having the correct connection settings.  You will need to confirm that the correct settings have been entered, and that you are using the correct username and password for your Tomi broadband account.

The settings are as follows:

VPI 8
VCI 35
Username Enter your username followed by the domain to look like your email address: yourusername@tomi.com.au
Password Enter the password you selected at signup
Connection type PPPoE LLC
Authentication Protocol CHAP

 Prior to the above steps, you can also try power cycling your modem by switching it off, then switching it on again after a few seconds.
